for my book:
Stewarding Wounded Hearts:
Equipping Christians to support wounded people,
instead of causing more damage without knowing it.
When wounded people come into the church, we do one of two well-meaning but damaging things:
- We minimize or dismiss their pain.
- We try to fix them by being the therapist.
And the worst part is, we don’t know we’re causing damage. But we are.
We really do mean well. We sincerely want to help. But no one has trained us how to be good support for wounded people.
This book addresses that problem.
Because if they can’t go to the people of God when they’re hurting, where can they go?

Beta Reading FAQ
Beta reading is NOT about finding typos, fixing sentence structure, or proof-reading. Copy-editing comes later. The early draft you’ll be reading is still a mess.
Beta reading is about: Is it impactful or boring? Is the text clear or confusing? Where did you get stuck or lost?
For me as the author, the real gold of beta reading is the negative feedback: What’s not working? What’s confusing? What’s just boring? What’s just flat-out wrong? What could be misunderstood?
And, yes, also the positive: What was impactful & useful that I should double-down on?
You get:
- Early access to the book's content for free.
- A glimpse behind-the-scenes at "how the sausage is made."
- Input to the book's content.
If the book sounds interesting and beta reading sounds fun, I'd love to have your feedback.
